It's so tiny, I get to go "play" with it some time next month. Heard anything about sling preferance?

yup
single point from the rear or no sling, a shortened green bungie cord ran from the back MOLLEE loops on your flak along your strong side to the loops on the front with the rifle stuck under it with the magazine popped over it to keep it in place.

google quick sling or tactical sling. I have the Blackhawk Swift and loved it.

I did replace the main shoulder strap with a piece of 1" bungy.
And then at the barrel end added a fastek(sp) buckle with a quick adjustment slide.

Some guys were happy with the ZM

No sling here but then again I don't ever see me picking one up for it either.

It is very handy to be able to transition from at the ready to at your side or on your back quickly and easily.

When you are carrying 24/7 its a PITA trying to carry all your chow if you also have to have a hand on your rifle. Even our 249 and 240 gunners came up with some form of quick sling.:D

What am I going to do strap it on and pull guard duty outside my house??? :flipoff2:

Just saying that for my use I don't see a need, hell I don't even get to shoot it anymore due to the situation at hand. Membership to Sanners Lake won't come through till May either. Thanks though.

on another side note I am hearing of odd setups with the scopes and such, anyone know the "stadard" setup and possible mods they have made to improve reliabilty?

standard is the ACOG or aimpoint. reliability mods: maybe a D-fender. An accuwedge, and gapper for shits and giggles.

Its pretty reliable if you keep it dry/clean. Listen to your fawking sigline :flipoff2:
BTW if you email http://www.militec1.com/ they will send military members free lube.

I have always wanted to own a M203..don't care about the grenades, just the weapon.

You can buy them, about $1500 and it's a destructive device so there's a $200 tax stamp on it. You can also get the chalk practice rounds pretty easily since they are unrestricted, no bang on impact but fun to shoot.

EDIT: Lewis Machine and Tool makes them http://www.lewismachine.net/store.php?cid=10&session=bd5cd2d4cc4c66fcd9a1586ceb7f2692

Yeah, I'm just going cheapo scope on this gun. Since it's for fun. I'll get a good one for my hunting gun. $1500 always seemed too much to me. I'll stick to my $300 Nikons
