: Summit/RCI seats on Jeep brackets?

Thinking about buying some of those plastic Summit/RCI seats for my trail rig. I'm a "narrow" ass, so I think they'll fit me well and provide more lateral support than my stock YJ Sahara seats.

I'll buy the padded vinyl cover as well, then cover it in fabric as vinyl and Arizona sun in an open rig don't mix well!

Anyone mated these seats to the stock YJ seat brackets. I like the way the stock brackets work and would prefer not to buy new ones. Also, anyone have comments on the support these seats offer, particularly lateral. I don't drive on the street, so as long as they're modestly comfortable on the trail, it's all good. TIA.

mount your seat to a flat plate and then mount the plate to the jeep's mounts. easy as that.

I just bought a pair that I will be taking back shortly. I decided that I didn't want to fab a bracket to give me a 3" or 4" riser to bring the seat back to factory height using the factory brackets as a base. I planted my ass in them and they seem comfy enough.

High 5: Cool idea.

Big97: So, even mounted to the stock brackets, the seats sit too low? Hmmmm.
