: Yet another D60 ID question

Yes, yes, I know you must be tired of getting these by now. I did attempt to ID this axle using the BOM chart, but got nothing. I was successful ID'ing my front 60, so perhaps this current one is too old.

Anyway, it's an 8-lug, FF rear D60, 30-spline, 3.54 gears, 66 inches wide (WMS to WMS). Here are the numbers:

C-30255 is cast into the center section.

On the axle tubes is the following string:
22-6A1 (or I)

followed by
60 3 (or it could be an 8) 716 20

That's exactly how it appears with spaces. No dashes.

Can anyone help. I'm pretty sure it's a Ford, just like to know what year and model it's out of. For those of you who are gonna ask "why," it makes it much easier to buy little shit from the parts store when you know the exact application.

Why?
What parts do you need that you are going to keep on it? Don't tell me you are keeping those huge drum brakes. The brakes and axle housing ends are about the only parts that differ from any other dana 60. So again, Why? Just do a disc brake conversion and be done with it. The carrier/ring/pinion should be the same throughout all 60's. The wheel bearings can be had by taking the old ones out and reading the part #.

I feel your pain as I had the same problems with my international dana 60, but it's really not that hard to find the right parts.
