Hi there,

I´ve got two aftermarket rocker shafts with new rockers. Unfortunately they do not have the "notch" that would tell me to put them in so that the oil lines/holes are where the rockers need them.

should the oil holes face the exhaust manifolds OR to the valley/plenum ?
and:
should the oil holes look up- od downward.

That alltogether makes for 4 possibilities to turn a shaft. All the books show either assembled shafts (thus hide the holes) or just the notch.

Hope you can help ?!

Lemme me take a look and see if I can find some assembled shafts and rememebr to report back.

Not having internet at the shop sucks sometimes and improves productivity other times.

This picture should answer your question. The notch on the end of the shaft is at the 1 o'clock position and has been highlighted in yellow.

oh, cool. Just the pic I needed.

I´d say I owe you a

(at least a virtual one; would give you a real one, really. But there are probably several thousands of miles between our places).
