What did this buggy break in the front end on #6, an inner axle?

Gokartergo- I don't mind if you put up a link to those pics.. go ahead.
Wilson- it broke the 297x u-joint in the warn birf-eliminator. Then, because he finished the course out with it, it ruined the inner and outer axles. Since there was about 15 rigs in front of him for number 7, we were able to go fix it... well, sort of. The ears were broken off the shafts, so we put a u-joint in the best we could and then welded the hell out of it. It got him up the climb on number 7 before it broke again, so he was able to finish the course pretty easily. He got CTM joints for it, but we never got time to put them in. We just built that buggy in the last couple of weeks. We got the thing fired up, put it in the trailer, and drove down there. His first real test run was to drive it around the parking lot at tech inspection on friday.

That is exactly what toyfamily and I did. He got to drive it for about 5 minutes on pavement before putting it on the trailer friday at noon.
