Just a couple of pics of what I have done so far. I am using wagoneer 44's front and rear. Rear coils are off a standard 89 cherokee front end. Basically going to have two y links and a panhard bar, but one of the y links will have a pinable link to allow flex for rockcrawling but can be left in for snow wheelin' or use as a daily driver, basically whenever you don't want flex. Hoping to be finished with it tomarrow so I can start on the front.

Looking good. I am doing something similar to mine. I was going to use a Wagoneer front and a FJ60 rear, but I came across a offset D60 for cheap. The only thing that I would improve on is bracing the heck out of the vertical pieces that I imagine the Y bars will mount to. You need to remember that this is where most of the stress of holding you axle in place will be concentrated here. Also, what do your mounts for the coils to the frame look like? Just make sure that they won't rip off the frame. Otherwise, looking good and keep the pictures coming. Thomas

Thanks
This will be my third coil conversion so I'm kinda used to it, but it is different in that I am doing an FJ with an off center rear end and he uses it mostly as a daily driver. I'll take a pic of the links so you know why I doubt they will ever bend. As for coil buckets it is the same theme as you see in on the axle. Just a piece of tube, welded to a plate that is welded to the bottom of the frame, that snugly fits into the top of the coil and then I am running a bolt through the tube that keeps the coils from slipping off the tube. Pretty slick trick and easy as pie to change out the coils or make adjustments.

If you could take some pics of that upper mount, I would really appreciate it. It sounds like a nice way to mount the coils. I am kinda of doing something similar, but I am not using the bolt to hold the coil in place. I am just using a post with a rubber bushing on it. Kinda like the Jeep setups.

That ramp was made from 20 dollars worth of the finest angle iron our local steel yard had to offer! hahaha Want it? The FJ is a local kid that I kinda know, not mine, but I'll work on anything, I just love vehicles.
