Just scored a D70 that has a 2 piece Differential that appears to be a dana Powr-Lok.

I know it's a good L/S, but only a locker or spool will do.

Anyone ever weld one of these up?

I watched a friend weld up his D60 powerlock. Split the case, find a way to keep the spider and side gears in position, then start tacking them in place. Weld them to one half of the case and then weld them to each other. Reassemble it and you're good to go, until it breaks. I don't know much about D70's, if a spool is available, just buy one of thsoe and be done with it.
