Who is going? Anyone who has been before have recommendations on accomodations (only been to halloween extreme, not winter romp)?

How much fun are the trails? 32s and chains ok or should I get the detroit/arb in the 110 before I go?

If the weekends stay like this I will be in great shape as far as moving the 110 into her final stages.

PS 110 build up (pics coming as soon as I figure out how to get the pictures off my camera phone--hey give me a break this whole internet pics thing is new to me).

RHD to LHD conversion (gathering parts, got and pulled all the axle and steering stuff this weekend)
4.2 LWB motor with EFI (hopefully, if chicago don can pull it)
Repair frame rust (done, mostly--you should see the fabbed crossmember ends--I am amazingly cheap)
New exhaust, mostly sorted, need the center muffler.
New paint for the doors (working on it)
ARB front (set up diff ready to go in)
DL rear (need to buy)
Disco I steelies (bought and repainted)
255 85 R16 BFG MT (need to buy)

Slade can give you a heads up on the PITA that the RHD-LHD swap is going to be.

Fawk . . . .

It "looks" like it is not that bad other than the interior. Actually it "looks" easy.

I checked and my frame already has the mounts needed. I have a 10 spline LHD RRC front axle I pulled the ends off of to swap over to the 110.

The mechanical things aren't too bad....its things like ignition & instrument wiring, replumbing the clutch & brake etc.

Whats wrong with leaving it RHD?

"Whats wrong with leaving it RHD?"

Eh, I just don't like it and it is harder to merge/shift etc. etc.

The P/S hose needs to be shortened and reflared as does the clutch. New brake lines are not too bad. It is a carb V8 now so the ignition etc should not be terrible.

Romp is a good time. Best to stay at the holiday inn that has preferred pricing.

Weather is a joke so far this year. We may be in for a mud fest unless the ground freezes. Usually, chains and 32-33 are fine. But the beauty of Romp is that it can be different any year. PLenty of trails to go on in groups for the level of wheeling you want.

Big thing is not leaving anyone behind and no whining. http://www.winterromp.org/

Now, pray for snow and bitter cold.

I am not a whiner, I just remember the horror story from 5-6 years ago when my buddy Doug's D90 was frozen in a river.

As I may be +1 (I will guarantee no whining) the odds are fairly good I will be in a stockish LWB with 235 85 R16s and cable chains.
