Hi,
I need to convert my 6 lug 10 bolt to an 8 lug setup because I'm swapping a 14bolt FF in the rear. What parts do I need to do this will Ford/GM 3/4 ton D44 parts swap on to my 10 bolt?

If you use Chevy/GMC stuff you need from the spindle out. (Not sure if the spindle is the same between 1/2 and 3/4.) The lockouts are the same, as long as you are using the internal Hubs. Not sure on the interchangeability of Ford or Dodge, but they use a different size wheel stud. Stick w/GM parts for the 9/16" stud on all corners.

I think it would work. You would need the hubs, rotors & probably calipers & brackets.

Just find a GM/J-truck 10 bolt or 44 8 lug front (preferrably with internal hubs) then swap the caliper support and the bearing hubs/ rotor assembly and you can reuse all of your other parts. The spindle/ lock outs or auto hubs and wheel bearings are the same. The caliper and pads are the same.

I did this to my truck. You'll need 3/4 ton stuff from the backing plates out. I can get you a better list of parts later. But, I replaced the roters, backing plates, everything but the calipers.

It's extremely easy

you more than likely do NOT need new spindles unless you have pre 70 somethinng axle which i dont think you do s o . . . . .. :flipoff2:

You definately don't need new spindles. 6-lug and 8-lug 10-bolts shared the same spindles. I garuntee. You need new backing plates, bearing hubs, rotors, studs, and calipers. All in all, it's about a $500 conversion if you buy all the parts new.
