I just got done putting new tie rod ends in my Jeep and the steering is still loose at the pitman arm. I can look from above, turn the shaft, and see the pitman arm move and the tie rod doesn't. It seems loose right there and it's a new TRE. I don't get it. Do pitman arms wear out?? As in the hole where the TRE goes through???

I'm at a loss, new box, TRE's, and castor shims and my steering still sucks. Anyone put a heim joint right there instead like the Poison Spyder set up???

I would double check the diameter and taper of the old TRE and the new.

Yeah, I will tonight or tomorrow. It was loose there prior to TRE install. I thought a new one would fix it.
