: F@*% performance wheel!!!!!!
nuttzack 05-13-2002, 06:40 PM JUst though ya'll should know, so that you don't get screwed in the ass like me! I placed an order for 4 2.5" wheelspacer for my toy axles over a month ago and they finally showed up today, but was told they would ship out in exactly 2 weeks. THe wait wasn't that big of a deal as long as I got them before memorial day weekend, which I did.
Upon opening the box I have never been so fucking pissed in my life. They fucking idiots made me the wrong spacers. They sent me 5 lug spacers for something else, not 6 lug for toy axles.
I have made numerous calls and waited twice as long as I was supposed to and I now have a product I can't use, not to mention the fact I probably can't go on my trip.
So, WTF do I do or say? I called and left a message, but nothing to harsh. SO, do I threaten them with the BBB?
CHOKEu 05-13-2002, 06:57 PM Damn! That sucks... I just got mine from them last week. Everything was o.k.
Are they going to let you send them back? They say no returns?
nuttzack 05-13-2002, 07:19 PM How could they refuse to make me new ones? They made me the wrong fawking spacers, that's not my fault!!! I told them what I needed and they fucked up, not me.
i called about 4 times a day got teh machinist himself on the phone and explained i have a competition on this date, i have $$$ backing me to be there, if i do not get my spacers in time i will not make it there!!!
3 day's later i had them in my hand :)
nuttzack 05-13-2002, 07:21 PM Hey dsi, was that 3 days after the order date? I got 11 days till memorial, but for some reason I don't think they are gonna wanna work with me on this one. I have a feeling they won't wanna admit to being wrong.
3 day's after teh bitch date, 14 day's after the order date
don't feel bad, i don't have a useable rig!
nuttzack 05-13-2002, 07:38 PM I can use it, but the tires will be rubbing on the lower control links on the front. I think I am gonna threaten them big time and tell them they have until next friday to get me the spacers. I doub't it'll work, but it's worth a try. I just hope that they don't give me too much grief cause it wasn't my mistake. It was that becky chic who deals with the spacers. I think she got all confused about my order, which don't make any sense to me cause I told her more than three times what I needed them made for. Fuck this shit!!!!!!!
coyote 05-13-2002, 08:06 PM Like my customer service booksays...you get more bee's with honey, first explain the problem and ask them what they can do to correct the problem. Give them the benefit of the doubt first, you want them on your side and for them to save face otherwise neither of you will be happy....don't threaten them with anything you can back up....if they still fail then post it and let them know that you will post it but get your money back first...if they got your card number make sure you contact your card company and block them from charging....
nuttzack 05-13-2002, 08:13 PM Yeah, thats probably the approach I will take cause I definitely won't get my way if I go in attacking them. If they don't at least agree to make me the right adapters, I will contact the credit card company. Has anyone else had a bad experience with performance wheel?
dude i feel for ya....if you want i can hook you up with a better company and im sure it will be alot cheaper .tell the fucks you want your money back or your suing there balls off.email me and ill hook you up with my buddy fred in L.A he is agreat guy and does great work...

nuttzack 05-13-2002, 09:37 PM If the bastards don't compensate for my inconveniences, I will get my money back and contact Fred, thanks!

It took twice as long to get my front spacers as quoted. Not a big deal to me, because the truck was down for other reasons.
oldjeep 05-14-2002, 05:20 AM I got mine in 2 weeks, ordered them right off their website. They are an excellent product in my experience.
I went with them because they came well recommended and actually had prices on their website.
I ordered a set of spacers for my rear axle about 1.5 years ago from them. Came within a week or so (can't remember), but it came with the wrong size studs...think it came with 7/16", and I needed 9/16th. I called and said I need to return. The guy that picked up, said no returns and then I said let me speak to the guy that sold me this set and when I got him, he said no prob. and sent out the new set that day (or the next) b/c I gave him my word that I would send back the F'd up set immediately.
So I guess my dealing with them was pretty good. :)
Good luck though...that is F'd up...I hope they take care of you.

pcorssmit 05-14-2002, 07:55 AM Never bought any spacers from them, but I have bought (and returned) 2 sets of used rims from them. The first set were wagon wheels for my Blazer, I bought them before I switched lug patterns, then paid to have them mounted somewhere else. Bent to hell, the truck was jumping all over the road. Returned them, but was out the money that I paid the other shop (they were closed the day I needed to get them mounted, so I went to Firestone instead).
The second set (aluminum) I bought for my DD pickup, however those ones I spun on a balancer before mounting, and none of them ran close to true. Took them back the next day, and I have a feeling they were returned to the shelf.

welndmn 05-14-2002, 09:58 AM Have you spoke with a live person yet?
It seems that you jumping the gun venting here so soon, give them a chance to fix it
badassjeepguy 05-14-2002, 10:17 AM i too ordered some spacers from them a while back..... a month goes by and they still were not made let alone shipped! i told them to just cancel.......... spidertrax had them to me in 5 days.....
Blatant 05-14-2002, 10:25 AM As others have said: Give them a chance to correct their mistake. Speak to a live person, be courteous, let them know you have a deadline that you need the correct parts and they've had plenty of time to get them to you.
You're always going to get better service by being professional. Yes, it's not your fault, but they'll be much more prone to correcting their mistake if you treat them like human beings.
If that doesn't work, then :nuke:
Good luck,
Dion
oldmanscj7 05-14-2002, 10:43 AM I just ordered a set of 2" spacers from them five minuets ago. Becky claimed that they are shipping orders in about a week. I guess I should have checked this board before I ordered them, since I need them by the 24th and with my luck they'll send me the wrong shit too!
RCKRATZ 05-14-2002, 11:21 AM took about 8 weeks to get mine from them........ they gave me 25% off for the inconvenience.

I called them once - spoke w a woman who was just not very nice or very knowledgeable. I realize this is a small bitch, but it turned me off to the company in general ... if I need spacers I'll look for alternatives.
nuttzack 05-14-2002, 04:12 PM ALright, so I was venting a bit!! After talking to a manager three times today, he finally told me that he was planning on talking to the machinist to find out why he made the wrong spacers and also to find out if he can make me the right ones tommarow and hopefully have them shipped out sometime this week. I am glad that I'm not getting any hassel, but I am still pissed at the initial customer service.

My buddy bought those for his dodge stealth, and loves em, got them really quick too, and I think they are good quality. I would buy from him quick, and I bet you could get them by memorial day too, if I remember right, his car was goin in less than a week after be blew 4 studs from racing. So I have to say, if they cant do it for ya, order from www.wheeladapter.com and get em quick so you can be wheelin memorial day.
I feel your pain...It seems there is a direct relation between the need/urgency for something and the odds that "that something" will get fawked up. The greater the need for something you order The better the chances that you won't get it, or when you do, it will be fucked. I wish I had a completely BS free alternate option to give here but, this is close. These guys sell quality spacers cheaper than anyone I have found(alot cheaper than Performance). The thing is, to get the advertised price, you have to order them online, and the order page is not detailed enough. My front spacers did not clear my front hub. When I spoke with them, they said "they should have asked for a hub measurement for those"...They were very receptive in taking care of the problem though. I ended up just taking them to a local machine shop and having the center opened just a hair while I waited. They didn't charge me jack....In the end it was all good....Just pisses you off though. I did have the spacers in 1 week from the order.
