Well after putting on the 36X14.5 PJ's. I had a chance to try them out while at Victorville CalRocs. Found out they rubbed so bad couldn't drive it in the real rocks. (Only way to really test)
So off to the shop to fix the problems of really big tires. After to many hours of engineering and re-engineering I knew what I wanted. And here is the finished product at CalRocs/MoonRocks.
Even though I was not a competitor (For those who don't know us, Crickett & I can be seen doing Medical Support at almost any West Coast 4WD Event) We did drive a few of the courses to try out the new Mods on Friday.
Things done:
Opened up Wheel Wells for tires
Cut off spring clamps for more flex
Removed and re-located bump stops
Re-Located shock hoops out of the tires way
Replaced Power steering Box & Pump (Needed a refresh)
Ladder Bar to Control spring wrap
It Got it.... I was impressed with the changes made, but found out I need more power steering, Look for "Out with the Box & In with the Ram". That should do it...

The next 2 shots are how much cutting was done

Even the Floor Boards had to go for now

The next 3 Pics are of the Wheel Wells replaced. I wanted the Wells put back in because I live near and Wheel the Rubicon. (The first half of the season is still pretty wet) and wanted to keep the muck out. The problem was, I needed so much room for those big meats, could I get Wheel Wells back in the Sammy?
Here is the proof.....

As an added bonus the stock Air Box even went back in

Seems like not much done now that is is finished. But Thanks to my family putting up with this project, and Tim Hardy (Yes, he is still around) and Sick Fabracation for the Ladder Bar.
Kudo's to Mike and Lance for winning. Congrats to all those that competed. The courses were some that you had to see to believe.
