: Rear Rattler

Hi everyone, first post here. In the past two weeks I've heard a rattling sound - almost like running a wood stick over a washing board - that seems to come from the drivers side rear when quickly accelerating (especially from a stand still). Before I forget, it's a 95 Disco, 112,000 miles, bought two years ago. Checked rear diff fluid, it's filled, just changed last summer. One more thing, it's louder when I first start driving. Any comments appreciated, except how old I must be to know about washing boards!

I would check the u-joints (called 'cross' in my part of the world)
on the drive shafts.
