I ended up with these springs, and was thinking about using them on the rear of my Sami. The dimensions are: The springs are 2" wide, and they measure about 44 1/4" from bolt hole to bolt hole along the spring. There are four leafs in the pack. When they are positioned on the ground like the picture shows, the measurement from the floor to the top of the spring is 7 1/2". Are these CJ front springs?

The picture is located here:

Sorry about the link. Apparently Geocities doesn't want people to link from with bulletin boards, or Auctions and such. If you right click on the link and copy the shortcut, you can then paste it into the address bar and then hit enter. It will go to the picture then.

Again sorry............I didn't realize that geocities didn't like that sort of thing.

Yeah those are CJ's alright. Although they are not stock height. I would guess 2" lift springs. Do they have any numbers on them at all?

At that length they're either CJ fronts or Scout. Since the bushings have the super FAT setup on the fixed end of the spring though, this is definetely CJ.

Most likely a Rancho 1.5" lift CJ judging form that arch.

if you want to run this on your Samurai, I'd keep only the 2 longest springs and then back them up with a couple stock Samurai springs. Otherwise it'll be a very tall and STIFF ride.

yeah, there cj fronts, but lifted......
i have all 4 cjs on my zuki (fronts in front and rears in rear) and it is HUGE, i can fit 36"s with my 2" body lift and 6" SPOA, and there stock arch, i need new shafts cause its so high now(3" longer than stock) ....... and the stocks are pretty stiff, i should have removed 1 ply from each but its not comming off now......:D

Would you recommend using the bottom two from a Samurai front pack to replace the bottom two in the CJ pack?

I am also going to move my stock rears to the front, so I was going to replace the overload on the rear with one or two of the lower springs from a front pack also.

Thanks for the info.
