Didn't see anything about elevation at Gold Lake or Snake Lake.

It has been a long time since I've been to Gold Lake, I think it was July 4th weekend in '98. The trails were still snow bound that year.

Snow has been pretty light so far this year. That could change any day though....

No way. Impassable until Late May with light snow, june with heavy. I grew up in Sierra City.

I was just up that way around the 15th of Jan...the gates were closed to Gold Lake.
