Does pulling the resonator off the exhaust and adding a glasspack or pipe in it's place offer more horsepower and torque??? I am thinking of doing this to my 98 Dodge Dually 4x4 with an auto tranny. Good idea or bad?

Dont know if you know about this place or not, but check out www.turbodieselregister.com

I just bought a dodge and joined up over there. A wealth of info, newsletters, and a lot of insight into doing stuff cheaper and better the first time.

That site seems to be devoted to Dodge diesels. Is there one like it for Fords? I just got one!

Long and short of it... It's to reduce EGT. Not worth the effort on a stock rig. They really make a bad drone sound at highway speed with out it. BUT, start playing with fuel and it IS worth the effort.

As mentioned search around the TDR. Lots of good info there. It's "POR" of Cummins Diesels
