2.02/1.60

2.05/1.60

2.08/1.60

2.10/1.60

Does it really matter what size valve I get if my intake runners are properly sized? Is it even worth worrying about? I would think the head manufacturer (AFR in this case) would appropriately size the valve to work with a given intake runner volume.

FYI: 383 and 7000rpm

(DOA)Runner volume is only part of the equation. Valve sizing is relevant to bore sizing, cam duration, rpm usage, and a host of other factors. 202/160 is pretty basic good to go for bolt on heads. Pay attention to chamber cc's as well as plug angle, AFR's come in a host of configurations. 383, if using a roller block, is such a straighforward platform, you only need cut a check, and choose your desired HP.
