just got my 71 fj40 and i'm planning the resto/build.

its going to get saginaw power steering and front discs. i'm wondering what i can do to beef the axle up.

does anyone have info on this specific axle? are strong shafts/birfs available? can i convert it to mini outers and use some beefier knuckles? do they make beefy knuckles tapered for GM tie rod ends?
