: Rockwell Pinion Brake

Can anyone tell me how to mount a pinion brake on the inboard (driveshaft side) of a Rockwell 2.5 ton axle and still use the pilot hole (recess) so the driveshaft stays true and doesn't sheer the bolts?

I designed it originally so the rotor bolted to the outside of the flange and was sandwiched by the driveshaft. However, I now don't know if I will be able to keep the bolts from sheering or the driveshaft from wobbling. Is there a way to put the rotor inside the flange (toward the axle) so the driveshaft still aligns in the pilot hole of the flange?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Scott

that is exactly how Boyce's kit goes on, so it is possible... Sounds like you just need to redesign your caliper bracket. Take everything off, and bolt the rotor to the inside of the flange, then measure, and start over...

Good Luck!
