My little brother went out to start his blazer this morning and it turned over once or twice then wouldn't do anything. So it won't start, won't turn the headlights on, in general it acts like the battery is completly dead. but the badery has power. So does anyone have any ideas were to look first? and its an 88 s10 blazer with the 4.3 and it ran last night.

Assuming that the battery has power....check and clean and/or replace the cables, battery terminals and so forth.
How do you know the battery has power? Batteries do get old and die sometimes.

Do what he said, check the voltage at the batt while trying to crank the engine. Sometimes a batt will have a surface charge that looks ok, and then draw down to almost nothing when you apply a load.
