Does anyone have the napa/carquest part # for this bearing? Bearing on the cast iron fork.

Got this from Woody's writeup on his site....

The steel clutch fork used with the Aluminum bellhousings does not work...tried it. Picked up the cast from from an older SM465 and it works perfectly


Do they make 2 different type of throwout bearings? One for the cast and one for the steel?

I have some nice bearing sounding noise's and it sounds bearing related, but I want to be sure I have the correct bearing before I put the tranny back in tonite.

While I don't have the number of the bearing, I didn't change anything when I went from the steel to the cast fork....IMO, ask for a throwout bearing from a 74? Chevy pickup and you outta be all set.

That is what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure that there isn't a difference in bearings, going from the different forks.

The 4 speed I originally got had alot of noise to it, in the process of swapping it out. :D
