Installing my traction bar in my yj. I was told that the center of the traction and the shackle should be at a 90* angle. What would happen if it was off 10*??????

Do a search on anti-wrap bar and you'll get lots of hits...

Here (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48240&highlight=Antiwrap+bar) is a link to one thread that has a couple example pix of front mounts.

I don't think 10 degrees will be a big problem.

My front shackle is nearly vertical, so my shackle to bar angle is not 90 degrees but somewhere close.

I had my shackle angle around 75 deg., then moved the axle back some and adjusted the shackle angle to 90 deg. I could not tell a difference. As long as your close, it should work fine, but theoretically you want a 90 deg. angle to the anti-axle wrap bar.

I'm off about 10* on mine too, but seems to be working fine... I just haven't had time to fix it, but I probably will just leave it as long as it works fine.
