: PCM compatibility '97 to '98?

Greets all. Ive got a line on a 97 5.9 PCM for cheap. Will that 97 run my 98? For those of you who dont know, Ive got a 5.9 motor being run by a 5.2 PCM. And I need to get that fixed.

I do believe all of the computer cutoffs for all of the 1500's was 94-97/98-01

The 97' was an oddball, it's different from any before 97' or any after.

Yes, Its holding itself up. There is just no spring(s) in its step. :) But that is about to be fixed as well.
