I need help with two things....
1. What tracker gears, 3rd members etc. will swap into sammi axles. I heard that you can take the front third member and install it into the front or rear of the sammi axles?! What does this entail. Do I have to change out the outer gears to do so?

2. My webber will not idle. If I choke it it will? Starving for gas?? Larger idler jets?? No clue what the carb came off of or when. It was on the truck when I got it. I have rebuilt the carb to no avail...

Help me Zuk gurus!!

first off welcome aboard newbie:flipoff2::flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

now, the kick front 3rd. will bolt right into the front of the samurai....... for the rear you take the ring and pinion gears from the kick and bolt them into the samurai carrier, then weld the spidergear pins to the carrier...., the side gears are different in the rear so you could put just the whole carrier in with just changing the side gears........

Also need tube and spacer for the rear roughly $65.00

I know squat about carbs, which is why I bought a fuelie, but here is some info:

http://tellico.off-road.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=offroadsuzuki&Number=603532&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1

My solution would be to toss it and slap an FI setup on it. $$$$450 here: http://members.cox.net/aftermarket4x4/off_sam.html

or go the junkyard route.

Thanks for the help.

I found a shitload of rear Tracker third members on e-bay. Will the R&P from the rear fit or is it just the fronts that work????

I'm pretty sure the track/kick rear is larger and wont work in the Sammi housing unless you make a hybrid. Petroworks offers sells one for $175.

From what I hear, the Sidekick 3rd members are all aluminum and break EASY..especially with with lockers. You can use the gears though.

Why not just pickup some juckyard toy axles? What size tires are you planning to run? The sammi axles aren't really up to anything over maybe a 32" & hard wheeling with low gears.

Good point. What are you trying to accomplish? If it is just gearing for now, get some tcase gears and be done with it.

Then after you snap a few Sammi axles, you can upgrade to toy's or d44's without eating the regearing of the sammi axles.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I better get my name on the list, if I want them soon!!

How can I relax, with 35's and rims not mounted yet, laying in my garage??

My Checklist as it stands now....

Saw off the chrome exhaust pipe tip.
Fix idle .....get larger idler jets say something around a .055
Install new clutch, also setting in the garage by itself.
Weld on the spring perches. and get the program rolling.
Fix the t-case shifter or forks (they keep hanging up in 4 high, even with a new shift sheet)
Get geared correctly.
Mount the tires.
Go wheelin
fabricate bumpers and install winch.
Grenade the axles.
Upgrade the axles.
tear it up
hack it
fix it
repeat
repeat

anything i forgot ?? lol

I have a brand new angle grinder and one of my trusted old friends happens to be a sawsall. I ain't worried about sheet metal.
