Bought a set of manifolds a while back, from the local "recycler". Where supposed to be '84-86 truck manifolds off a 350. I set them against the engine to check for fit; looked OK. Well, today I got serious--going onto a '94 350, in an XJ Jeep. I also bought a manifold gasket set, Felpro #1404--supposed to fit '67-2000 Chevy 350. No problem on driver's side--gasket & manifold fit right up. But the driver's side is a different story! I set the manifold in place, using the two bolts at extreme ends to hold in place while I dropped in the gasket; unfortunately, the rear hole in the manifold/engine does not match up to the hole in the gasket. In fact, there are two holes in the head, one matches my old manifold, and one matches my new manifold. The problem is, the gasket doesn't match up to my new manifold. So the big question is, what engine did these manifolds come off of? I need to order new gaskets, but what? Any clues? Would appreciate any input.

just askt o see a few different gasket sets, many have either multiple holes or a long rear "hook" on them that will accept the farther back bolt hole manifolds.

you got a 305 manifold!!!!They have different end spacing on the exhaust bolt holes!!!!

There is no such thing.
Sounds like you have a later model manifolds. The later 80s had a seventh bolt hole in the head and one of the bolts was moved farther back on the manifold.
Most gaskets ive seen will work some are set up strictly for old 6 hole head configuration.
You can get a gasket for your curent setup no problem Late 80s cars and trucks had them . I know my 83Fbird had them and pretty much any other 82-92V8 camaro firebird ex manifold ive ever seen.
You could make a hole in the edge of the gasket thats getting in the way of your bolt just as long as you have the port sealed it shouldnt matter.

why dont you be moron specific??? I would make it easier to help you.
Not every chevy intake gasket matches. You need some pics and some more info. Not every SBC is the same but its better then a ford.

Here's a couple of pics. The first is of a pair of manifolds off a Camaro--they show the same rear, passenger side pattern as the manifolds I'm trying to install. The second shot is the passenger side manifold that I'm using. Guess I'll tray the local parts house for a Camaro manifold gasket.
The gaskets I have (two sets!!) do not accommodate the wider bolt pattern??

Oh, and rock ape, the manifold you show as a 305 manifold is listed for both 305 amd 350, as many SBC manifolds are.

Just a follow-up/resolution. After visiting a couple of local parts houses this morning, came up with the following: Single peace gaskets, like the Felpro 1404, are "header" gaskets, and only come in one bolt pattern (we're talking SBC here). The OEM style gaskets are individual gaskets for each port. The gaskets for the ends of the manifold come in dual bolt patterns to accommodate the different manifolds associated with various years/vehicle models. So I got a set of OEM style Felpro gaskets that do fit, just a little harder to install.

um why aerent you using headers?

heresone of the head castings that use the wider spaced bolt holes:
376450.....75-81...262/267/305..6 or 7 exhaust bolt holes, 60cc chamber
ive run into a few over the years

He answered his own question, he had header gaskets instead of manifold gaskets for his application.
