Hmm, i grew up there and the best thing i can think of to say is that i would try making it out to Bob's one sunday if you want to meet some wheelers from the area. Hit up the trailrides section and find the thread started by me for more info. Good luck on the search.

Fairfield is a ghetto. Keep your search to Vacaville or Dixon. Dixon is a longer commute but housing is a little cheaper. It might be a wash expense wise.

Fairfield is not that bad , but it does have its areas of ghettoness , rent and housing is cheaper in Fairfield and the commute is nicer , traffic between Fairfield and Vacaville - Dixon can be a real pain , there is also Rio Vista

depending on your pay/rank, Dixon just put up some new apartments for "low income". A friend just got one and he said his rent is $780 with a 1 1/2 car garage. They're pretty nice and it only takes about 20min to get to base from his living room. Garage is bad ass too. Check em out, I think tey're called lincoln apts. They're right off I-80 and H-113. BTW hit me up when you get back, all my wheeling buddies just got orders. Stay safe, late.
