Anyone who's done the rear disc conversion on a d60 using 3/4 ton chevy brakes, I've got a couple questions for you.

--Will I still use stock size wheel studs? If not, what size?

--Will wheel studs press into rotor or fit loosely thru rotor and press into hub?

--Any threadlock needed on caliper guide pins?

--Anyone have pics showing a clean installation/creative routing of brake lines. I've seen a few pics of brake lines installed that didn't seem too clean or well thought out.

Appreciate the help. This is my first swap.

I did, although I wish I would have drilled them all out and went to 9/16" studs. I've had no issues with the 1/2" ones though. However, there are no threads past the lug nuts...that is with a 3/8" plate center on recentered H1 wheels- standard pressed center wheels may well be different.

Mine were slightly loose in the rotor...the rotors should be set for 9/16" studs as they were a Chevy application.

I didn't...but if it makes you feel better...

Mine isn't really pretty, but it is on the top side of the axle out of the way. If I ever go to links, I would run a flex hose at each end of the link, with hard line running along the link between. For now, the standard single middle flex hose 'T'ed to the outers works fine.

the studs are supposed to be loose on the rotor.
if they are tight you will split the rotor pressing them in.

chevy ford doesnt make a difference as the rotor interchanges between the 2, the difference in size is in the stud outboard of the rotor.

I used stock studs and the hoses from the chev application.
the hoses are way too long and will get replaced at a later date to clean up the install.I ran the stainless hard line kit to where I wanted it and will hunt down a hose to fit when I get around to it.

thanx guys. I don't think I'll need to go to 9/16" studs at this stage of the build, but I do hope to buy some aluminum wheels at some point. The stock wheel studs are long enough for most aftermarket wheels, right?

Also, I plan to run stainless braided brake line from one side to the other, with a "t" at the middle, on top of the pumpkin. No hardline & no rubber brake hose.

I used 79 CJ-7 front brake hoses for the flex hose part. They worked great due to their length. Not too long, not too short, just right.
