If you have the 6bolt 205 then just find you a 400 to put on it. Better tranny anyway!

Not an option. I love my 700R4. Lower 1st and OD is nice for the tiny bit of road use.

Tried not to reveal that so people wouldnt say that I didnt know what the fawk I was talking about. They never made a 700 with a 205 behind it. No they didnt. Doesnt matter if it a 700 or 350 IMO

isn't the round pattern 205 the same as the 208 pattern? Might just have to swap the input shaft around to make the spline count match and maybe machine the input sleeve some. Fab up a shifter mount and maybe a tranny mount.

Have considered exactly that but the only other issue is that the case of the 6 bolt pattern is big bearing. Th350 has small shaft and input bearing with the 8 bolt. Would have to have a ring machined to go around the small input bearing to fit the big case. Might all be a pipe dream. We will see. Any other suggestions?

I believe (if I am reading your posts correctly) that DD Machine makes a clocking adapter for the 8 bolt t-case pattern. They are a vendor on this board.

I think dodge had a 6 bolt case with a 23 spline input (small bearing) swap the input with a gm 27 spline (small bearing ) and you got it. you might have to make a new seal coller or just have someone turn up a sleave so you can shim the small bearing out to the big bearing size so it fits the 208 adapter.

I can look around the shop I had made up some of the sleaves years ago. they were like .006 under size and you would heat them up and slide them over the seal retainer.

That is a great idea. Thanks for the info. Will look around for a dodge 205.
