i have replaced the entire cluth system with in the past year, the clutch master cyclinder, hoses, throughout bearing , the entire clutch kit, when the cltuch peadal is compressed there is a sec. of ressistance then it drops to the floor, i am wondering if any of you have had this prob, i am leaning towards a defective master cyclinder, but i dont want to spend $90 and that not fix the prob, it is less than a year old and i am wondering if the control unit might be the prob, i already tried bleeding the line and it was no differnent, i dont have money to burn, of all the gurus out there someone must know, thanks

Opinion: master cylinder.
Could be the slave too though. An easy way to check the MC would be to screw a piece of steel brake line (with a flare fitting) into the port in the MC that normally goes to the SC, bleed it, and clamp it REAL hard with a big pair of vice grips (you might need an adapter fitting to get the line to match up). If the pedal does the same thing, it's the MC. If the pedal is hard, it's the slave.
Good luck,
Jake

Stupid newbie thoughts only, but I have replaced all those parts.
Anytime the slave went (internal right?) it has always gone low on fluid first, and fluid loss could be readily seen. When my master went it acted similar to yours with no fluid loss.
Also had a friend with same problem and bleeding it fixed it.
I was never that lucky.

Sounds like the clutch master cyl. or the clutch slave cyl. is defective.Since you dont mention that you replaced the slave cyl. I would replace that. After bleeding the system, check a manual to see if there is an adjustment for the clutch pedal play.
