has anyone ever ran 1/4 elliptic on a fullsize bronco or f-150, or would it be better, keeping a budget in mind, to link the rear.

1/4 Elliptic uses links ;)

1/2 of a leaf spring is not enough to hold the axle in place, so youll still have to link the truck. So the question changes to, do you want to buy coilovers now, or later?

edit: beat me to it!

I Meant either link it with coil overs or 1/4 elliptic. Why do the coils now?

What are you going to use it for and what is your travel goal. The race 1/4 eliptic setups Ive seen are not cheap , high maintenance and heavier than a custom full leaf setup or coilovers.

I have taken part in several 1/4 setups. I have rode in and helped fab 4 setups. They worked great. They may require some adjustments at the begining. But what suspension doesn't? Bang for the buck there pretty good. Coil-overs are alot better but.......

Why not Linked with EB coils in the rear and make is so you can just upgrade to coilovers when the funds are there? I'd way rather rear coil a truck than 1/4 elip.

THe 1/4's ive seen tend to bend and sag fairly easily...
