: Somewhat of a Fullsize ford Buildup
LeviGarrett76 01-29-2007, 09:48 PM Got a wild hair and took the bed off The beginning of Dec.
Bought a bunch of parts and started fabbing.
heres the list....
Broader performance wide ratio C-6 with roller bearings in place of the Np435, Nwf np203 doubler and rebuilt 203 range box, Off road design Triple stick shifters, long spline 1350 cv front shaft with 1410 @ pinion built by me with parts from jess, Rear 1410 Shaft shortened...Modified stock tranny crossmember, Along with new doubler crossmember. Tranny cooler and fan mounted under bed, Summit racing seats and RJS harnesses, B&M shifter for tranny. 120" versus old 137 wheelbase, 30 gallon fuel tank, hacked frame and relocated ladder bar, lost doors and a few other things im sure im forgetting
Looks like i will make the ride this friday at grayrock...
I will have the seats and harnesses mounted RIGHT when i bend up a cage here in the near future....for now they use all the stock seatbelt mounting holes and seat mounting holes.
Also i want to do a 4 link Next....for now im hoping a can take a few leaves out for the ride friday
I think im going to leave the tranny floorpan out for now so it can be my heater...
All thats left is rear shocks and the tranny temp gauge

broncofreak2000 01-30-2007, 06:49 PM Keep the pics coming!
Halogrinder 01-30-2007, 06:55 PM nice mang
multichamp 01-31-2007, 06:53 AM nice.. now we both got longggg front d-shaft short rear.
cavemanjohn 01-31-2007, 10:31 AM sweet truck... or what's left.
bottomland4x4 01-31-2007, 05:13 PM i like it! you dont see enough ford buildups.
LeviGarrett76 01-31-2007, 08:46 PM took me half an hour to get it out of the barn tomoght...had the tires aired down all the way and it didnt want to roll back it just kind of flopped sideways. So i used a floor jack in the rear and 2 psi upfront and it finally rolled out.
drove it to the gas station tonight and around the yard/driveway. It definitly kicks ass....Im going to the february frenzy ride this weekend at grayrock in Alabama to try her out! The tranny floor pan is definitly staying off while its cold as balls
...it puts out a massive amount of heat!!!
thanks for the compliments guys,,,anyone have some suggestions/comments? I know it aint much of a buildup, but the ford forum is slow so i figured id post up....theres more in the future but i got it together to make this ride...cause thays what we do this for aint it?
btw...hooked up my tranny tewmp gauge tonight from autozone(actually just an oil temp gauge) and it immediatly read 230 degrees while it was cold. Double check all my connections and ground etc and couldnt find anything wrong. Anyone see a probelm using an oil/water temp gauge for a trannyy temp? It uses a sending unit btw.
anyone know off the top of their head what the adjustments on the vaccum modulator on the tranny does? I cant remember if turning the screw in or out lowers the shift rpms
Multi....I love my driveshafts now....that was part of the reason for th edoubler....my front driveshaft has never been anything but a problem with being so short and steep, kept seperating dlip yokes and binding joints at the pinion....hopefully thats all done with now
bigreen 01-31-2007, 08:50 PM very sexy
fordman1978 01-31-2007, 08:52 PM that is a saweet buildup. love the truck. im doing a similar build with my 78 swb. but a little bigger. with rocks and 52 michelins
LeviGarrett76 01-31-2007, 09:08 PM heres one more i found
http://photos-123.ak.facebook.com/ip002/v67/150/0/7005341/n7005341_33157123_8779.jpg

Loki89t 02-01-2007, 11:56 AM Looks great, I've been a fan of your truck for a long time now and it's only getting better :smokin:
LeviGarrett76 02-01-2007, 02:48 PM Nice pics, looks like as you took more pics, it seems you cleaned off the lens of the camera and got better pics :flipoff2:
nothing like a kodak dig camera i bought off ebay for 65 bucks in 2003, uses AA batteries and has an 8 mb mem. card:D :smokin:
thanks for the compliments yall....i guess i got to go out in the rain and tweak on the modulator valve on the tranny to lower the shift points some....
I went up to summit today on my lunch break and got an autometer tranny temp gauge for 42 bucks....looks like im takin the 44 dollar pos autozone gauge back
There will definitly be pics from the ride probably video too....and with my girlfriend's 5 megapixel camera that can take more than 8 pictures at a time:D
Proeliator 02-01-2007, 07:57 PM Damn, you HAVE been making some changes. Looks nothing like the last time I saw it. I'm digging what you've done, keep it coming :smokin:

LeviGarrett76 02-01-2007, 09:29 PM Im ready for the ride, everything is packed, tweaked and ready to go...i cant fuckin wait
your bronco is gonna kick ass on its maiden voyage cutts
you done anything to your junk lately pro?
Proeliator 02-01-2007, 10:15 PM Just welded up a new exhaust, yanked out the old bench seat and am using airide bucket seats out of a kenworth, and nitrous :smokin:
LeviGarrett76 02-02-2007, 04:06 PM onboard air?
mustange70 02-03-2007, 12:00 AM Nitrous? :)
Proeliator 02-03-2007, 10:06 AM onboard air?
All I have right now is a small electric compressor from a caddy's air supsension. It would run the old sparten airhorn and KW seats, but I'm not going to hook the seats up, I don't need them to go up and down. They were the ones out of my eb, which I replaced with some Procar Elite buckets.
Nitrous? :)
I found myself missing not having laughing gas anymore :D Being lazy and instead of doing it right with direct port I'm just using a zex perimeter plate.
But enough of the thread hijack, back to the sexy fullsize build that this threads about :smokin:
mustange70 02-04-2007, 02:34 PM so in other words ivan wanted his nitrous back :)
94stepsideford 02-04-2007, 03:06 PM and nitrous :smokin:

the rig was flawless and worked awesome, i love the auto....very well built, stayed below 180*...doubler was definitly worth it...the 120" wheelbase, no doors and seats is where its at...
im hoping i have some pics from buzzards roost, that was my fav trail..that and bents n dents
LeviGarrett76 02-04-2007, 08:09 PM heres a few of me and some of the guys i rode with saturday

LeviGarrett76 02-05-2007, 08:59 PM those are 44's?

many pics and vids to come at some point
Ramboss429 02-05-2007, 09:23 PM Hells yeah man! Glad to see someone is having fun with their rigs! I love how badass that thing turned out, not that it wasn't badass to begin with.
I am going to have to plan a lil vacation down to meet you guys this summer when there is some wheeling to be done.
Fordman500 02-05-2007, 11:14 PM Your truck is bad dude, i love that bed. Whered you get that fuel tank, its sweet. Also is that a fan underneath the bed? Cooler of somesort?? One more thing, on your ladder bar I thought that the shackle shud pivot from the bottom so when the pinion goes to pull up it pulls against it, not pushing on it where it could move. I might be wrong if that made any sense, haha.
LeviGarrett76 02-06-2007, 03:42 AM idealy you want the shackle for a ladder bar in tension....thats how mine was before i moved the axle foward, but i would have to redo the whole setup to keep it that way..it worked just fine in compression...i dont plan to keep the rear leaves too much longer anyways
fan is for my tranny cooler
tank is off a refridgeration truck, i wirre wheeled it and painted it and cleaned the inside out...it was free and its 30 gallons....
thanks for the compliments
i think shes ugly as hell, heh
willysrul 02-06-2007, 02:35 PM What is your wheelbase at, and how do you like it? This is kinda how I'm picturing my 67. Nice Job BTW!
Proeliator 02-06-2007, 03:20 PM shes sexy as hell, heh
corrected for accuracy :D
Loki89t 02-06-2007, 05:06 PM corrected for accuracy :D
:smokin:
LeviGarrett76 02-06-2007, 08:52 PM 120"....and it works awesome.....compared to the old 137 or so
i love the breakover angle and the steeper/shorter rear shaft because i dont have to worry about dragging it into ledges/rocks
haha thanks Seth..I still think its ugly....it just seems to be missing something....
willysrul 02-07-2007, 01:47 PM Wondering what the measurements on your diveshafts are? Front vs rear. I am wanting to go the doubler route as well and want to carry one spare. Just checking to see how close yours are.
Thanks
LeviGarrett76 02-07-2007, 04:31 PM havent bothered to measure the front, but the rear is 46.5" from center to cetner of the caps
didnt bother to measure the front because it has the high angle flange on the t-case and a 1350 cv so they aint interchangable
im running the short c6 adapter as well
Proeliator 02-08-2007, 11:00 AM I still think its ugly....it just seems to be missing something....
Thats easy man, it needs a roots style blower sticking out of the hood :smokin:
LeviGarrett76 02-08-2007, 09:43 PM i like that idea
and more cubes....
right now i think i need a cage...
LeviGarrett76 02-11-2007, 08:58 AM heres a vid of bents and dents at grayrock...
thanks to john deere ranger on here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6nHtpPdp1s
and heres a vid of john deere ranger from a few different trails all mixed in
its just a stock junkyard 5.0ho out of a mustang with a 6500 rpm rev limit that he likes to use
locked 60 front with 35 spline junk, detroited sterling rear, 5.38's zf 5 spd, 203 205 doubler
