I remember seeing some off road 4x4's w/ LS1 engines in them. Does anyone have a link to some common conversions? Thanks, Steve.

No one knows anything?? I've got a '98 Camaro so I'm real familiar with these engines. I'm just wondering if there's anyone on this forum that has a 4x4 with an LS1 engine in it... Here's some pics of my Camaro :)

Well the stock Vortec 4.8/5.3/6.0 engines are LS based and there are tons of those! So what are you looking for?

Nice F-body BTW!:cool2:

Thanks! I was thinking the exact engine in my Camaro. A 5.7L LS1. Anyone have any links of people's 4x4's w/ the 5.7L LS1?

I'm looking to drop a LS1 into a '93 S-10 4x4 to be exact :) I'm sure it's been done before... Yeah, I'm on LS1tech.

I think there is someone doing this at www.s10forum.com it would be in the v8 swapping section. Another good place for s-10 stuff is s10extremist.org
is your 93 still ifs or have you done an sfa swap?
you will need a custom oil pan made to fit your front axle if it is still ifs. also coil packs tend to get in the way of s-10 master cylinders simple body lift fixes that though

Don't know what you mean by ifs or sfa. It's a stock '93 S-10 4x4.

ifs is independant front suspension (stock) sfa is solid front axle check out www.currentperformance.com they make wiring harnesses for this conversion they also have alot of the parts for the swap headers motor mounts and such
