Fullwidth or not? you can run a fullwidth chevy dana 44 or a waggy dana 44.

Do a search its been done a few times.....but a jeep wagoneer will be your best bet they are the right width and can be had in pass or driver drop depending on your needs to match transfer cases. As far as the spring perch width not sure right off hand. Someone else may chime in on that

Edit:Pinkstonmm beat me to it

My waggy d44 is 31.25" perch spacing and 60.5" WMS-WMS, IIRC. Chevy perch spacing should be about the same, and 67 or 69" WMS-WMS.

If I were to start my build over, I'd get a chevy d44 and cut down the long side to fit a waggy shaft to both narrow my spring spacing (keep the tires away from the springs) and get a little extra width (more stability). I'd use the wider 2nd gen 12bolt to match the front width. Just a little food for thought.

maaaan these guys are friendly, the toy forum would have found creative new uses for the search button, your rectum, and both available axle donor trucks. :flipoff2: enjoy your trooper man, they're fun rigs.

I got my 44 from a 78 or 79 cherokee.
