im doing the mark v rear discs, ive found some good information online. i know i need to redrill the rotors for 5x5.5, and either turn the axle flange down or turn the inside of the rotor so the flange will fit inside, and resize the bolt holes of the bracket to fit on the large bearing housing, and spacing out the caliper bracket but i have read anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 inch. my question is it has been mensioned online about using the jeep cj-7 front rotors in the rear. the cj5 rotor is already the 5x5.5 pattern(i wouldnt have to drill the rotors and axles would fit without modification), is close to same diameter 11.75 compared to 11.5, the mounting depth is 2.205 compared to 2.432(which should take care of spacing out the caliper bracket, but the new rotor thickness is .875 compared to .945 for the lincoln and discard spec is .815 compared to .895. my question is has anyone tried this conversion, on paper everything looks good, i cant imagine the brake pads or piston falling out over less than 1/10th of an inch. any insite or experience would be greatly appreciated

That's a good question for TOFIC on CB.com. He's spent more time and effort monkeying with these conversions than anyone I've ever seen, and seems to be in the know on questions like these. You may give him a shout.

Yes there are people who use the jeep rotors. BCBroncos.com sells them with there kits. Give them a call and ask them if they do anything different to them. Good luck
