I have a bad intake manifold gasket on my 351w. That cork part that sits under the front of the intake has pushed itself out from under the intake, and a section of about 3 inches has ripped off. Could this be causing me to have a vacume leak? I know....a dumbazz question, but I am unsure of the answer..

It should not cause a vacuum leak since that is not sealing the air passages. You should have a pretty good oil leak though when you run it hard.

Hmm, I don't have an oil leak, and I have around 60 psi of oil pressure...

- he means u will - there is no pressurised oil here - just splash - if its easy to geet to get some permitex in the cheeze wiz can and seal it back up ( make shure u clean it ) - did it a few times on my FE motors

Yea i'll probably try that. Alot easier than pulling the intake for now. At least that will tell me if thats my problem or not.

This is why you don't use the cork end gaskets. Just RTV. They suck
