1 & 13/16" sticks in my head. Seems pretty close to a 46mm.
Can someone SPOT ME on those numbers? :)

I found a "deep enough" 3/4" drive socket at SEARS. Catch is the damn "crank starter nose". Too shallow of a socket, and it doesn't clear. Too deep and it gets in the way of the frame. Just long enough, and you can slip it on and get to it with a LONG breaker bar.

Don't overlook that gasket BEHIND the timing case cover, and check for groves on you the crank pulley. Crank Pulley is easily repaired with a "Speedi Sleeve". Can't recall the part number off hand, but can be found at most bearing supply stores.

Thanx for the info and the heads up on the pulley seal. I'm pretty sure it's the gasket behind the timing chain cover though. Anyone else want to confirm that socket size, I'm going to sears to buy the stupid thing...

Got a big ass pair of channel locks?? I got my crank off (hahaha) with a big pair of channel locks, some  and 2 or 3 good full muscle pulls.

I am a cheap ass bastard and I hate buying a huge sock that I will use once.

45mm or 46mm is what I used, cant recall for sure but a six point 46 should be great.

I've tried the channel lock method once...I just don't like the look of the bolt after I'm done...

I had a similar leak from behind the timing chain cover and I did not want to mess with pulling off all of that stuff just to repair a gasket. Nor did I want to buy a one-time-use socket. So, I looked into my toolbox and pulled out my magic fix all sealant.....FPIG Black from Toyota and slathered it behind the timing chain cover without removing anything. It hasn't leaked a drop since.:D
