I have been doing some research on which gun to get, and have it narrowed down to 3. After holding them in the local gun shop, these felt the best. I have it narrowed down to the Kahr cw40, Kahr pm40 or the Springfield XD40...

Does anybody out there carry one of these models? Which do you like and why?

I'd get the Kahr over the XD any day. Its just a better built handgun, and being far narrower they conceal easier.

I prefer Glocks because for their trigger action, but I also like the Kahr`s. They fit my hand well and are slimmer in profile. I don`t own one but have shot them and prefer them over the Springfield XD`s. I`d have to give the nod to the Kahr.

I would disagree with part of that. Kahrs have a breakin period before they are reliable and are not made to shoot many thousands of rounds in their life. Also, recent Kahrs have been problematic with many reqiring multiple trips back to the factory. They are good CCW guns but not something you can take out of the box and shoot reliably for years like the Glock/SIG/XD/CZ/ETC.

Kahrs are bad ass little guns, I almost bought the P45. I shot the P40 and that little muther focker kicks like a mule that just got branded!!!!!!!!! The P45 does not kick nearly as bad.

DMG is right though, I would NEVER buy one and start carrying it, unless you want to chance you or someone elsed life on it. They require a break in period and that is the time where a lot of new, inexperienced Kahr owners get mad and sell it cause of all the malfunctions. Once they are broke in though......................badass.

The Springfield is a damn nice little gun and you can load an assload of rounds into it.

Have you looked into a Glock 23??? Now, that is a gun that hold more than enough rounds and it very concealable and is deadly accurate straight outta the box and will eat anything you feed it.

I looked at the glocks I just didn't like how they felt in my hand. If I could find a really good deal on one I wouldn't rule it out though.

i liked the way the springfield felt in my hand and the extra safety features it has.
