With a Long Arm upgrade, I've been looking hard at the Bilstein 7100 Series shocks... partly for the "nice" factor, but also for the options in valving. I have spoken to 2 people so far that have them, and both said that they were very stiff/very firm.
My coils are sagged and sitting under a budget boost. I plan on sneaking new coils in under it along with the usual lift upgrades, to get it back around 5-6"...
(98 ZJ, Rubicon Express LAs, only 33's, around 4.5-5" as it sits.)
Is there some "semi-simple" mathmatical figure to use, or experience-based opinions on choosing the valving?
I'm leaning hard towards these because they are rebuildable... plus the typical "cool factor" of remote resoviors... The ZJ does have a few heavy accessories with a few more on the horizon, so I'm looking for the best and most durable options.
The floor is open.
