I'm trying to move the vac canister on my '90 Bronco. The problem is, Ford used two of those crap plastic vac lines to run to the canister. One line comes off the manifold, and the second line runs over to supply the EGR and thermactor solenoids.
What I'm wondering is if I could get away with only running one vac line to the canister. Does it have some kind of a check valve or something that would prevent this from working? The idea is that I'd run one vac line from the manifold, tee off to each of the solenoids, and then to the relocated vac canister. I could plug the other port, no prob.
Any idea?

Didn't you read my answer to this question on the 2BB board?
Or did you not trust my guidance? :flipoff2:
On my '90 I relocated the vac canister, and ran a single vac line to it, plugging the other port. So far, so good.
I also pulled all the Thermactor stuff off so I could do my part to destroy the earth..... :nuke:

Hmm... did I post this over there? I thought I posted it on Trailtech, and nobody knew....
So, do you have any pics? How about shots of 33's on a stock truck? Do they fit?

Uh... yeah, now that this thread has completely gone to hell....
I pulled the vac canister off and did a little testing. The manifold side port passes straight through to the accessory port. If you put the accessory side under vacuum, it starts to depressurize the canister. There must be a check valve, because it doesn't pull air in through the manifold side.
I'm not sure what any of this means... but I'm going to wind up running two lines to it.
And Rade: WTF do you need with a tranny access hole? The huge hole in the floorboard isn't enough for you??
