that is the same jeep that was used in the Baja 1k... as far as parker carnage, both left side tires, a complete exhaust system, a crank sensor... finished 3rd.

that pic was taken just after the crank sensor failed and we went from 1st to 7th position. and in the 50 miles after that we gained back 5 of those positions... COME AWN!

Great pictures! Not to get too far off topic, but a question from someone who's gonna build a Jeepspeed regarding the crank sensor: Are you using an OE type sensor mounted in the bellhousing??? Or are you using something like the Hesco unit mounted on the fr. of the engine?

Thanks

John

We as well as most are using the OE sensor mounted in the bellhousing.
But are sensor did not die it came unplugged! We were running about 65mph and the truck just shut off!

Gotcha! Thanks. I'm SLOWLY getting closer to securing some sponsorship $$$ and getting started on my build!

there are some of both, if you strip the wires out and start over it is easy to just get the hesco harness that is for a stand alone unit and just has the engine control wires and none of the extra junk to go bad.

Between Shaffer in this pic and the Flyin' Filarski's Wall jump - shocks, bumps, ATX Wheels, Precision Gears and Alloy axles are taking BEATING!

That's what we like to see - keep up the product testing.

Congrats Mike on yor 3rd place - well earned. Lance - you sure let everyone know you were there!! Eric/Ryan - glad you finished, now let's get ready for Barstow!
