Do you have a power source for it?
That is just a wire feeder only.

What do you mean by power source? I have a ac/dc stick machine. Could it be used as a power source?

A AC/DC stick "buzz box" type machine is typically constant current, where the current is adjusted for rod size and material thickness. A constant current machine's voltage will change depending on what the current is set at. A power source for a external wire feeder should be constant voltage, you may be able to get away w/ running one w/ a dc buzz box, but I doubt it will do a very good job. Check out http://www.millerwelds.com/products/multiprocess/ for more info on multiprocess power sources. It defenitely isn't cheap :)

You need a powersource that has CV(constant voltage) capabilities to work with that machine. I doubt you could find one cheap enough instead of just buying a regular MIG.

if you're looking for a mig or wire feed setup, something inexpensive, look at lincoln electric's weld pack 100 or 135. you can use either flux-cored wire or straight mig ( if you have the conversion kit). i picked mine up at home depot about 2 years ago and it is a great basic setup or if you aren't running a meatlworking business. plus it's like $330 bucks, add an extra $ 100 for the mig conversion. to me, it's a good deal for the money.

I would rather pay $600 and jump up to a hh175-80-whatever they are now, than pay $430 for that.
