hello newbie here!
was wanting to know if anyone has ever attempted such a swap in to a cheby
i have a 95 1 ton non 4x4 truck
and i have a 12v that i thought would work in place of the weak problem proned 6.5 turbo diesel
if anyone has any ideas or info i would greatly appreciate the help

it's been done before, with good success.

There are adapters that are readily availble to mate a GM trans to the B series engine. i have a 4BT (same engine - 2 cylinders) that is mounted to a 700r4 in my garage. I don't know about getting a 4L80E to work electronically, but there are standalone computers available, they are close to a grand though. If you have an NV4500 currently, that would probably be a lot easier to setup.
