How's this sound?

I have a Grizzly tools manufacturerd Metal Lathe, Milling machine and Drill Ptress combo unit for sale. I used this unit in my gunsmithing shop but do not need it anymore and need to get it out of my way this week!! I have around $800.00 worth of cutting tools and lathe tools that go with this unit and all the tool bit holders. This is similar to the old bridgefield machines that use simple belts and pulleys to turn the lathe, drill and mill spindles. It has manual or automatic feed. I am only asking $575.00 or best offer for this machine. I can assure you that I paid a lot more !!! I need to sell it this week. THis is a heavy unit and a sturdy wooden table or steel table will be needed to put it own. I will trow in the wooden table that I have it sitting on. First one here with the money will get it. I will also sell this machine and the milling machine I have listed together. Ask for the together price.

And just because he mentioned it:

I have an almost new, heavy duty milling machine for sale. It is one of the Harbor Freight companies geared head Mills and it is a very good one. No belts to adjust or fool with like the old shop smiths. The mill will just about any kind of mill work that is needed around a farm, car shop or just for the hobbyist or gunsmith. It comes with the drill chuch, all tool holders, over $1000 worth of endmills and cutters. I am asking $875.00 or best offer. THIS IS A VERY HEAVY MACHINE THAT WILL NEED TO BE SET ON A STURDY WOOD OR METAL STAND. I NEED TO SELL THIS MACHINE THIS WEEK !!!

I figure if they are in decent shape - it's the added tooling that could possible make these acceptable as "starter" units.

Thoughts?

 I think the guy is an idiot, he knows some words but doesnt really know what they mean or how to put them together. "heavy duty" "good" and "harbor freight" do not go together. Tooling can get very expensive when you start talking about good stuff, but $1800 worth of cutting tools for two low end benchtop machines means you might be carrying them all out in buckets.

There really arent any specs there to give me an idea of what he's actually selling. But to give you a taste of machining I guess the price doesn't sound too bad, and you could always sell them later. I would not expect to be making any steering arms or turning any driveshaft tubes on thoes though.

Yeah, I kinda thought he was off a bit - but then again, he's on the border between AL/TN so he's at a handicap anyway

I might see about the model #'s on the parts and maybe take a look at them to see how everything looks. Besides - I don't pay asking price for anything anyway :p

I'm new to that stuff, so I'd just be looking for starter/tinkering machines anyway.

:flipoff2: It's people like you that bring 350 cash to a 400 dollar deal...and for people like you... I take the key to the doors I just sold you when you were not looking...want the key? I want my 50 dollars....

And let me guess, you're the type of guy who acts like this even though you put "OBO" after the price. If you don't want to sell for less than 400, then don't sell, but don't be a retard who can't handle offers :flipoff2:

Nope - I'd have a deal worked out before I ever came to get it :p
