Is anyone familular with an all steel adapter that mates a sm420 to Dana/Spicer 18 t-case? I just picked one up used and plan to put it in my jeep. After a quick once over, the adapter appears to have good tolerances, especially for retaining the two rear bearings on the transmission. With this in mind, should I bother installing a lock collar like those found on the Novak and AA style, spud shaft adapters?
