i have a 87 stepside i was going to do some work on. I want 35's on it and have found a 14 ff for the rear i will install and a 8 lug conversion for the front. I was talking to ORD and was getting a 4" front springs and a 1" body lift to accomodate these tires with min triming. I was going to do the shackle flip kit but he sugessted just do springs if im just runnung 35's. Was wondering if anyone has either set up and could give me some feedback. I kinda wanted to do the flip kit cause it seemed like everyone else was but he stated with what i was doing i wouldnt see a real benifit from the flip kit and would be better off with the 4" spring. anyway let me know your inout. thanks

I just did an 8" on my 77 K20 and it clears 39.5 TSLs, i need to do some trimming. I did the ORD flip kit and i really like it, i turned the bracket around in order to run 56" 1 ton springs, for better flex. I'd mabye go 6" with no body lift if i was you and do the shackle flip, your call. Good luck!

I clear 36x12.5 Tsl's on a 4" lift and a shckle flip in the back ith just a touch of trimming. I really like the shackle flip so far, zero problems. I have trimmed the rear of my front fenders, but that is it. I like the flip cause it lets me keep my rear load rating and factory springs for hauling. Probley to stiff for crawling tho.

I got the ORD shackle flip and their beefy rear shackles. Great product and super strong..
Well worth the money, they really do their homework on this stuff..

I would also do their flip(ord's), but i would buy the diy4x shackles. alot beefier and cost less. just my .02 cents.

if you plan on goin bigger later on i'd go with the shackle flip. but if not go with a full spring they'll flex better than stock ones imo. i had 4" softrides on my old k5 and they did awsome. just another opinion
