I have tried searching around to find more detailed information and nothing is very clear. Right now I have the range box of a chevy 203 and ford 205. I do have the shaft that comes out of the range box of the 203 with a gear, bearings, and a flange/plate piece on it that looks like aluminum. Is any of this needed? I'm curious because the aluminum flange/plate piece is cracked in half.

thats what you need. the doubler kit comes with the intermediate shaft and adapter that you need to connect them

So is that aluminum flange piece the same in all 203's(like from a 27 or 32-spline)?

I don't know if you need the aluminum plate (flange plate), but you do need to hold onto the the shaft, gear, etc. I believe most doublers just replace the shaft with a shorter shaft, and they proably ave to reuse the bearing. I don't think they would use that aluminum plate, but I can't be certain.

All you need is the range box, you will be replacing that output shaft with one that mates to the doubler adaptor with a new bearings. That aluminum piece that you are talking about is not needed.

Welllllll, depends on who's kit you are buying. But most of the time it is replaced

sounds like you have all you need. I got the kid from jed's machining and the aluminum output shaft bearing support was needed. I tossed / lost mine. Jon supplied one for me.... recommended highly.

Did you get it clocked or unclocked, welded or unwelded? You have the 203 and 205 in stock positions? I'm fixing to get a kit from Jon as well. I like that he has kits that use either the short or long imputs on the 205, saving you some coin. I'm running whats left of a K5.
