JP gets their bodies from these guys.

jp's websites shows a comp, cj-8 bobbed an dovetail 48in wide ,aqualu does'nt show anything like that . just a stock width bobbed scrambler. the # on jp's site has a disconnect recording. are they still in business.

aqualu is the place to go. they can build it anyway u like even with boatsides, raised rear floor, ect.

I highly doubt you'd be able to get a good number to contact an actual person at JP..like stated above contact aqualu...they can get what you need.

Go directly to Aqualu.

There seems to be some problems with Dave Knight the owner of JPOffroad and Drivetrain direct.

Take a look at the General 4x4 section for a run down on what has happened there. Not going to bring it up here.

But your choices are basically Aqualu who as a great reputation, and Matkins. I have a Aqualu bobbed scrambler body and it is amazingly well built.

Here is that tub on my friend's Jeep. He put a 454 in it, had an article writeup on it in '4-Wheel & Off-Road' a yr or 2 ago.

thanks everybody. it seems aqualu make the bodys for everyone else.just orderd a bobbed ,dovetailed an boatside scrambler body. now i just have to wait.

Well when you start your build make sure you post it up...dont see enough CJ8s around.

hey cbrodgers ,i see your sig. say scrambler collector .i have a 82 in my sig ,plus a 85 on 1 tons an 41irock's an a stock 83 with 9000 miles

Whatever you do, stay away from Matkins. I had a terrible experience ordering an aluminum body and frame (bobbed CJ8) from them. I dont want to bash ppl publicly, if you want the story, PM me.
