I have to give credit where credit is due.

After destroying drive shafts at the last couple of CalROCS competitions, Jim Reel of J.E.Reel Drivelines, finaly came to my rescue and built me a set of drivelines that could handle the abuse.
OK,..Ill admit that I am a little rough on my drive train
So when Jim contacted me after the Victorville event, and said he could build me a driveline that was completely capable of handeling my driving style (if you can call my driving "Style"), I was all ears.
He went to work building me a rear shaft with 1350 joints, and .250 wall tubing and a custom yoke at the 14 bolt spindle to accept U bolts instead of straps. Its nothing fancy really, but its well built and extremely tough.
I know that on several courses I had people looking away flincing like they were about to be pumbled with shrappnel,..hehe even Jim said he cringed and crossed his fingers a few times, when I went hard to the throttle.
In any case since he is a sponsor of the CalROCS series, and is building some seriousely strong assemblies, I just wanted to give credit where its due.
By the way, Jim is not new to off road drivelines, he has building shafts for the "way fast", Drivers like Robbie Gordon, for years, he is just now breaking into Rock Crawling.
J.E.Reel, is not yet turning out some of the super trick assemblies that Jesse is turning out at High Angle Drivelines, but he is attending all of the events, he is asking what we need, and he knows how to build a rock solid assembly.
Give him a call, he is very willing to discuss any ideas, and he does know a thing or two about driveshafts.
909-629-9002 (he might not be available for another week as he is taking care of some family matters right now)

Yeah J. E. Reel hooked you up great. Those drivelines seemed to be working awesome.

Jeff, I don't know if you have seen the Victorville Video, but you are definatly on it. You ought to buy one soon.

Good job out there, and great drivelines.

Yep, I can verify that you beat the crap out of your rig Jeff, and despite all your effort (read:THROTTLE!) you couldn't brake a thing. And standing 3 feet from it, I was in the duck and cover mode, waiting for the shrapnel...

But it never came. Good job, J E Reel

Hahahaha, there is a very funny story behind that phone call, haha, Ill tell it to you over beers or around a campfire some time.

PS Nick rig looked kick ass, it will be great to see you guys in the next events as you guys gel as a team, and Nick has more seat time. Great job, on the entire effort,... from concept, to fabrication, to following through and making it to the starting gate. Believe me I know how much pressure you guys were under, I have been there.

Thanks alot, it was quite the undertaking, especially considering that this was my last semester at Chico State. The next Cal Rocs is too far away for us, so we're looking at possibly running some other events in Utah and Arizona. Now we just need to find the $$ for entry fees and traveling expenses.
