try the search engine but there are no bad years for samurais. just dont get too far back into suzuki history like pre 86 then you will be into slightly odd-ball sj-410 running gear. not quite as stout as 86-forward. get that search engine warmed up and check the archives. this topic has been covered 100+ times!!

Like he said, most years are about the same. Anything after 1990 had fuel injection, so that's definitly a plus. ~Steve

He means 88.5. They are easily identified by the square air vents in the dash. 86-88 has round vents. They reason it seems that everybody has 86's is that was the 1st year made and Suzuki sold a shit load of them. Sales dropped as the Consumer reports bull crap came out.

I've never had faith in them. Especially after I was truck shopping a few years ago.
