Thought I would drop in here and mention that I am running a group up the entire range over 2 weeks this summer, August 22- Sept 3. Starting at Swamp Lake, Dusy, Ershim, SlickRock, Strawberry, Barrett lake, Con, Fordyce...you get the idea. Definately a huge undertaking. I have 4-5 committed vehicles so far. Do to the extreme distance, this is a good trip for mildly
to moderately built rigs. I usually have stock rigs on my trips.(good excersise for me) People can meet the First Day, Second Day, or at midpoint for the Con ,Thurs August 29th. If anyone is interested I can post more info, and discuss the trip. Strong, well built rigs are ideal, and a passion for lots of days on the trail! This is the ad I have posted in my signature on other forums "MEN WANTED: FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES, BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS, CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOUR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS. SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON"
Join the 2002 Sierra Nevada Challenge Expedition August 22- Sept 3 ,and let the Adventure begin..........
Oh, and I WILL be exacting revenge on the Box for the scratches on my door from last year!

What no Johnson Valley?
It just a sight seeing tour unless you run the Hammers

Year before last, my girlfriend and I ran Dusi, coyote, strawberry, swamp, bald mountain,Big Shuteye, and spirit world, then drove home for a couple of days, ran the Rubicon the next weekend, and then down to the hammers the weekend after. Ill tell you what, your driving skills are well honed after that many days of wheeling, We had no major breakage durring the drive.

Keep us posted Ill try to hook up on Fordyce and/or Rubicon.
